p-1-90473758-what-if-the-world-reacted-to-climate-change-like-itand8217s-reacting-to-the-coronavirusBy Adele Davis

What would a fast, coordinated, collective response to climate change look like?

The coronavirus has transformed everyday life so significantly that the effects are already visible from space. In China, where hundreds of millions of people were quarantined to help stop the spread of the disease, before-and-after satellite photos show pollution disappearing as work came to a standstill. In the U.S., as the number of coronavirus cases has grown quickly, companies are asking employees to work from home and canceling conferences. Schools are canceling classes. In Italy, another massive quarantine is underway. The changes have been sudden, driven by widespread recognition that it’s a public health emergency—and, although the window of opportunity may have already closed, a chance to prevent another deadly disease like the flu from becoming a permanent, ongoing problem.

The scale of the response raises another question: What would it look like if the world responded to the climate crisis with a similar sense of urgency? The coronavirus response might not have been as fast as it should have been; if the Chinese government had acted faster, the virus might not have spread to other countries. And the Chinese government’s authoritarian tactics shouldn’t—and couldn’t—be emulated in large parts of the rest of the world. But in countries around the world, governments and citizens have been quick to change daily habits. The same hasn’t happened for the climate crisis.

“We’ve seen that governments can act, and people can change their behavior, in a very short amount of time,” says May Boeve, executive director of the climate advocacy group 350.org. “And that’s exactly what the climate movement has been asking governments and people to do for years in the face of a different kind of threat—the climate crisis—and we don’t see commensurate action. On the one hand, it shows that it’s possible to do this, and it’s possible for this kind of mobilization of resources to take place in a short amount of time. In that sense, that’s encouraging. But we were never in doubt of that aspect.” Instead, she says, it was a question of whether there was political will for rapid change.

There are similarities between the situations—in both cases, the scientific community is offering clear warnings about what to do. Both involve public health. Climate change is already killing people in extreme heat waves and other disasters; it’s also worsening food and water shortages and it will displace hundreds of millions of people. The same pollutants that contribute heavily to climate change also cause air pollution that kills millions of people each year. Diseases like malaria and dengue fever are likely to spread as mosquitoes move into new regions. And as with coronavirus, people living in areas with the fewest resources are being impacted most by climate change. “Climate change also affects the most vulnerable first and worst,” says Boeve. “So we see that pattern play out as well, and how this is unfolding and how the response is and is not responding to that inequity and impact.”

If the world was responding to climate change like it’s responding to the coronavirus—the level of urgency that the science says is necessary—things would look dramatically different. “We would see a lot of different things happening all at the same time,” says Boeve.

Governments would come up with the funds to build the infrastructure needed to fully roll out renewable energy. “It’s cheap enough and available, but the regulatory systems that would enable people everywhere to get clean energy would require massive government investment,” she says. “We would see these kinds of emergency packages that would get people off of the fossil fuel grid and onto a clean grid right away.”

After wildfires and extreme floods, relief packages would acknowledge the role of climate. In cities, development rules would change to require low-carbon construction. Farms would shift to regenerative agriculture. Just as the airline industry is struggling because of the coronavirus, some industries would see real impacts. “We probably wouldn’t still have an oil and coal and gas industry that was thriving in our economy,” says Boeve. We would have to find ways to support the workers from those industries, as well.

“It’s a whole bunch of different things, which could all happen quite quickly, because we do actually know what needs to happen,” she says. “And that’s the amazing thing. But the shift in which, and this is what’s so interesting about what’s unfolding with a public health emergency is that I think there’s a trust in the public health community to say, these are the measures we need you to put in place right now. They’re ready to go and policymakers are acting. And the same thing is true with climate change. We’ve got those policies, they’ve been drafted. They’ve been waiting to be enacted.”

A growing number of cities and countries have formally declared a climate emergency. Some are acting more quickly than others. But the overall mobilization looks nothing like the response to the coronavirus. In part, that’s because climate change still seems like a somewhat distant problem, despite the growing number of climate-related disasters that happen every year. Another obvious challenge: In the climate crisis, powerful companies have a lot to lose if the world acts decisively, and with the virus, though many people are losing money, there’s no similarly massive opposition to trying to address the problem.

“The entrenched power and staying with the status quo is what differentiates climate change from this particular crisis,” says Boeve. “That is something that a lot of people are working on, and that is changing. It’s becoming more and more hard politically to justify taking donations of fossil fuel companies, for example. That is starting to shift.”

conscious-being-in-prayer-optiBy Jaime Tanna

People are worried that with an ever increasing population we won’t have enough land to live on… that we won’t have enough food, or clean, drinkable water in the very near future… Yet, this is truly a matter of consciousness! 7 billion conscious, awake human beings would create a VERY different world to the state of our world today.

With conscious behaviours, we could certainly have 20 billion people and life would flourish! Yet, the sad fact is that the earth is dying with just 7 billion people, and we are all suffering, because of our own ignorance (darkness).

We have allowed our governments and mega corporations to make mock of us. They feed us death, and call it life. By continually bowing to the tremendous power of the rich elite — who run mega corporations that promote truly selfish agendas — our politicians and other authority figures are guilty of putting profits before people and we are seeing the dire consequences reflected back to us in practically every area of life as we know it. Human, land and animal life has never suffered more!

Chemtrails, pesticides, harmful GM foods (marketed as safe, and the “solution” to world hunger), tortured farm animals filled with all kinds of antibiotics and bred as fast as possible to feed the ever-growing & virtually insatiable demand for (poor quality)meat/junk food, fracking, mass deforestation to “create” land for breeding such meat, unsafe, ineffective pharmaceutical drugs pushed to market with misleading information (the vast majority of of Pharma drugs cause chronic, debilitating illnesses whilst treating only the symptoms of a patient’s disease), suppression of at least one known natural remedy (which has the power to heal many debilitating illnesses of the body including Cancer!), making it illegal to even grow in one’s home/backyard, are all pointers to a marked dysfunction of human consciousness.

It’s not that we don’t have the ability to heal our world, it’s just that we lack the collective willpower.

Our blindness is self-caused, however.

Most people refuse to even look… and if they do care to see it, they quickly say to themselves, or others, “It’s not MY problem… what can I do?”

Children and adults continuously engage in “entertainment”, often where horrific violence is accepted as ‘normal’, just to avoid the pain of facing their pain…

We drink copious amounts of alcohol and fall into a hypnotic slumber, ingesting all those wonderful advertising messages about which new product we must have!

We read about the massacre of children and adults in different countries on the front page of the newspapers — it’s okay though because some of them are really terrorists… the mainstream media says so! — and then quickly flick to the Sport section to see if “our team” won last night, and which player got that multi-million dollar contract!

Back to work, gotta pay those bills… no time to worry about the world’s troubles! Really, what can we do?!

So, who will heal our world?

Surely we cannot leave it up to the politicians who betray our trust every day…

Surely we cannot leave it up to the corporations whose only motive is the profit of the shareholders.

Surely, we cannot leave it up to the priests or pundits either…

People go to their church, or mosque or temple to be “absolved” but the guilt lingers on…. they stuff their pain with junk food, alcohol, violence and worse…

We must remember who we are, and stop living a half life! We must forgive ourselves and then take whatever small action steps we can, from a place of clear perception, and love… Love for ourselves and this planet.

Act locally, think globally.  Let this be your intention, and your ‘default program’.

You may be overwhelmed when you think of how to help the whole world, but you cannot be overwhelmed by helping your own community. By being willing to lend a hand, and to speak up when the truth is distorted or twisted to suit agendas that do not benefit the whole, you will play a great part in shifting the balance of power. For truly, we cannot know how our actions will empower others…

One woman refusing to give up her seat on a bus, changed the political landscape of America and empowered millions!

One man refusing to engage his enemy in violent confrontation changed the course of a country.

It is now up to all of us to change our world. We must choose to stand up against the corruption, and misinformation being spread by those in power at virtually every level.

Those currently in power are drunk from it – and benefit from keeping us drugged, physically and mentally, because it is only if they keep us in this dark, unconscious state that we will continue to fail to act.

But is is not too late!  We have a small window of opportunity to reverse the tide! If we can simply learn to trust our intuitive sense again about right and wrong, we will stop believing the propaganda that disempowers us. We won’t simply believe authority figures, particularly if we see they have vested interests in a particular outcome!

For example, if we admit children are at risk of being harmed from the current vaccines, then we will stop and ask what is being put in those “medicines”. We may not throw out all vaccines, but our dominant focus would be the safety of those coming into the world, not simply following fear-based laws that take away basic human rights.

We must raise our consciousness, and stop ingesting falsehoods. We must go inwards to connect with the deeper source of wisdom within, and then use our minds to critically assess situations with empathy and insight.

The world is still in darkness. And it is in danger. This much we can admit if we are fully present to what is going on around us. Many brave souls are speaking up, but they are in the minority. Mainstream media spins its devious tales, dancing to the tune of the power-brokers who lurk in the shadows of human consciousness. Watch and observe. They move swiftly to placate our increasing concerns and leak misinformation to distract us from the truth! But we will only buy it if we are asleep!

We need to be alert, vigilant to the dangers facing us and ready to take a stand whenever we can.  It starts with us – and it starts by changing our own behaviours first.

Will you be one of those to help switch on the light?  Will you heed the clarion call?

meditation-3338549_1280IN BRIEF

  • The Facts:Below, you will find 8 paths as described in the second book (out of four) of the Yoga Sutras, written by the Indian sage Patanjali about two thousand years ago.
  • Reflect On:The practice of yoga involves much more than the physical aspect of what many people do today.

Yoga is something that continues to gain a tremendous amount of popularity throughout the world as we move through 2015 and beyond. It’s not a religion, and it is used and practiced by theists, atheists, and everyone in between. There are two major components of yoga that are now being practiced in the West today: physical fitness through stretching (asana), and mental fitness through the practice of meditation (dhyana).

Many in the West do not know that for thousands of years, the true nature of yoga was to achieve states of insightfulness that helped to reveal the true nature of Reality, “before personal biases and cultural expectations have a chance to distort our perceptions.” (1)

Yoga predates Hinduism by centuries, possibly millennia, and is closely associated with Jainism and Buddhism. Its origins can be traced back three to five thousand years ago.

Below, you will find 8 paths as described in the second book (out of four) of the Yoga Sutras, written by the Indian sage Patanjali about two thousand years ago. I thought it would be useful to share, as reflecting on these teachings, for some people, can really improve mental states and life in general.

“The second book of the Yoga Sutras describes the practice of yoga. The goal of practice is to break out of the destructive habits that distract the mind and in turn create suffering. Patanjali describes a method known as ashtanga, or the eightfold path.” Dean Radin, PhD., Chief Scientist At The Institute of Noetic Sciences (1)

Here they are:

Path 1 is Yama: Restraining from harmful behaviour, or cautions on what behaviour to avoid. This includes violence, injury, telling falsehoods, stealing, lasciviousness, greed, and in general adopting ethical and virtuous behaviour.

Path 2 is Niyama: Developing beneficial behaviour, or guidelines on what behaviours to encourage. This includes cleanliness and austerity, along with cultivating an attitude of gratitude and contentment, and being engaged in a disciplined practice of focus, devotion, and self-study.

Path 3 is Asana: Developing of physical postures. These are designed to assist the mind and body in relaxing, through development of strength, steadiness, and flexibility. The purpose of the asanas is to prepare the body to comfortably withstand the rigors of long-term meditation.

Path 4 is Pranayama: Conscious breathing techniques. These further the mind’s ability to focus, and they energize the body.

Path 5 is Pratyhara: Withdrawing from ordinary sensory perceptions and limiting focus to a single object of attention. Restricting one’s attention frees the mind to concentrate on internal objects of attention, fostering even more tranquility of mind.

Path 6 is Dharana: Developing a steady, sustained concentration. The root word for dhri in dharana means “to hold”; one holds attention on a single object of thought. This type of concentration is similar to that experienced during highly focused intellectual work.

Path 7 is Dhyana: Developing prolonged levels of concentration on an object, with deeper absorption and greater sustained alertness. This is sometimes referred to as meditation.

Path 8 is Samadhi: Unity or mystical absorption with an object of attention. In this state, distinctions between subject and object dissolve and one “becomes” the object of meditation. This awareness is frequently described as ecstatic. That is, it is a super-aware state accompanied by intense, nonsensual pleasure.

We acknowledge and affirm with the following declarations:
The Architecture of Your SOVEREIGN OVERSOUL

Your divine SELF has emerged into the physical world as a human being.

Your divine SELF is known as an OVERSOUL, commonly referred to as a “soul”.

Your OVERSOUL exists outside the parameters of the space-time continuum.

Your OVERSOUL is an exact, individual fractal of SOVEREIGN god consciousness.
We interchangeably refer to god consciousness as omniscient SOURCE ENERGY.

We define SOVEREIGNTY as that essential quality of SOURCE ENERGY that is invincible, immutable, omniscient, eternal, and entirely whole unto itself.

As an exact fractal of SOVEREIGN god consciousness, your divine SELF is endowed with all the same essential qualities of god consciousness, also known as the ONE omniscient SOURCE ENERGY.

Your OVERSOUL has been “made in the image and exact likeness of its original creator, the ONE SOURCE THAT CREATED YOUR SOUL AND ALL THAT IS.

Therefore, your OVERSOUL is also a SOVEREIGN CREATOR OF SOURCE ENERGY, endowed with the same power and FREE WILL of the original creator. As such, your OVERSOUL is capable of creating anything you desire.

starburst

Your FREE WILL and SOVEREIGN DIVINE NATURE are immutable and can never be taken from you. Your OVERSOUL is an unconditional and eternal divine inheritance given from the ONE SOURCE.

The divine nature of your OVERSOUL is SOVEREIGN unto itself. There is no force of nature or god consciousness above or beneath your OVERSOUL’S autonomous FREE WILL. There is no force of nature or god consciousness that may overpower the invincible divine will of your OVERSOUL.

As such, it is your own omniscient OVERSOUL that is the sole operating consciousness directing the details of your current incarnation and destiny.

Your OVERSOUL was designed for the ONE SOURCE to KNOW ITSELF through the expression and expansion of ITSELF as many. For the ONE SOURCE to KNOW ITSELF, it could only replicate ITSELF, for a perfect reflection of SELF-KNOWING.

Your many incarnations in the world of form serve as a parallel reflection of this original design of an “OTHER” to know and expand upon the ONE.

The omniscience of your OVERSOUL is orchestrating all of your incarnations simultaneously across the fabric of quantum reality. As such, your human awareness is capable of effecting change upon all your incarnations through the intentional SELF-MASTERY of this lifetime.

With every incarnation, your OVERSOUL is reflected back the truth of its absolute divinity within a quantum ocean of relativity, chaos, and infinite potential for seeming risk, failure, and success. Your OVERSOUL considers every physical experience, regardless of a desired outcome, as a spiritual success that expands its field of consciousness.

Your OVERSOUL is the omniscient, unconditionally loving and accepting GODSELF at the still center of your human awareness. Its active state is the HIGHER SELF, sometimes referred to as your “Holy Spirit”, which emerges from the space of NO-THING, into the light of creation to birth your human body into form. Read more…

When I was a child about nine years old or so, I embarked on a mission to discover the barrier between waking and sleeping. I believed that if I concentrated each night before falling asleep, I would recognize the moment I slipped out of consciousness and into dream. I never found the precise line — although I did, unintentionally, teach myself to lucid dream.

But now there is research showing that the brain does have an on/off switch that triggers unconsciousness. Mohamad Koubeissi at the George Washington University in Washington DC and his colleagues describe for the first time a way to switch off consciousness by electrically stimulating a part of the brain called the claustrum.

Simulating The Human Brain

Their accidental discovery could lead to a deeper understanding of a fundamental mystery of the human brain; that is, how conscious awareness arises.

The discovery came while the researchers were studying a woman who has epilepsy. During a procedure, they used deep brain electrodes to record signals from different parts of her brain in order to determine where here seizures were originating. One electrode was place next to the claustrum, a thin, sheet-like structure underneath the neocortex. Although this area has never been electrically stimulated before, it had been implicated in the past as a possible control center for consciousness by neuroscientist Francis Crick, who identified the structure of DNA, and his colleague Christof Koch of the Allen Institute for Brain Science in Seattle.

Koubeissi and his team found that Crick and Koch might have been on to something. When they stimulated the area with electrical impulses from the brain electrodes, the woman stopped reading, stared blankly into space and didn’t respond to auditory or visual commands. Her breathing slowed as well. She had lost consciousness. When the scientists turned off the electrical stimuli, she immediately regained consciousness with no memory of blanking out. Additional attempts were tried over two days and each time, the same thing happened.

New Scientist reported on the results and in the article Koubeissi says he thinks the claustrum indeed plays a vital role in triggering conscious. “I would liken it to a car,” he told New Scientist reporter Helen Thompson.

“A car on the road has many parts that facilitate its movement – the gas, the transmission, the engine – but there’s only one spot where you turn the key and it all switches on and works together. So while consciousness is a complicated process created via many structures and networks – we may have found the key.”

Project To Map The Human Brain

One researcher, Anil Seth, who studies consciousness at the University of Sussex, UK, pointed out that the woman in the study had had part of her hippocampus removed earlier as a way to treat her epilepsy, so she doesn’t represent a “normal” brain.

Additional research is needed. But the results could open wide a door on one of the most mysterious aspects of existence. We could determine once and for all what living creatures are aware of themselves and the world around them.

Exactly what happens when people wake up from anesthesia or a coma has long baffled scientists, but now new research on rats suggests the path the brain takes to regain consciousness may be even more sophisticated than thought.

“It is commonly assumed that waking from anesthesia is a simple thing: The drugs leave the brain, and the effects they produced in the brain get washed out, and the brain somehow recovers,” said Dr. Alex Proekt, an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York. “But that ‘somehow’ part is poorly understood.”

The researchers looked at the brain’s activity patterns, hypothesizing that the activity follows a structured path, changing in a specific way as the brain moves toward consciousness. The researchers wanted to know whether the brain moves from one activity state to the next, in a stepwise fashion, or whether the brain can go from any given state to a number of other states, and therefore, that there are multiple routes to consciousness.

Brain Activity Shows Basis of Near-Death ‘Light’

As technology has changed, so has our definition of “dead.” Laci gives a brief history and ponders the delicate boundary between dead and alive.

To examine the brain’s trajectory while recovering consciousness, Proekt and colleagues recorded the electrical activity of certain brain regions in anesthetized rats. They slowly lowered the concentration of anesthetic vapor that the animals were breathing, until they eventually woke up.

The analysis of the rats’ brain activity suggested that the brain passes through several distinct activity states to become conscious. The researchers found that only certain transitions between activity states are possible, and some states do form hubs that connect groups of otherwise disconnected states. [10 Things You Didn’t Know About the Brain]

“Although many paths through the network are possible, to ultimately enter the activity state compatible with consciousness, the brain must first pass through these hubs in an orderly fashion,” the researchers wrote in their study published today (June 9) in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Trapped in a coma

The researchers said the new findings could one day be used to help people in a coma. The brains of people under anesthesia as well as comatose patients show an electrical pattern known as burst suppression, which is characterized by periods of spikes in activity, alternating with periods of silence.

Both general anesthesia and coma are major perturbations to brain’s normal activity, and in some cases, the brain cannot find its way back to consciousness.

“Some people, after injury, will remain in some minimally conscious state forever, but some people can recover years after the injury,” Proekt said.

“One interesting possibility is that perhaps the injury can act to remove some of these loops, so in a sense you are trapped in one of these states,” Proekt told Live Science.

In order to help comatose patients, scientists will first have to examine whether the same phenomenon they observed in rats also exists in the human brain, and then explore how it may be possible to push the brain out of one state so it can proceed further toward recovery, Proekt said.

‘Clinically Dead’ Woman Alive and Well

Awake during surgery

Although anesthesiologists have long been able to successfully put people to sleep, they still can’t be 100 percent sure that a patient is truly unconscious, rather than just unable to respond.

Understanding the transitions between activity states that happen during the brain’s recovering from anesthesia may be the first step to finding a way to detect when someone is on the verge of waking up, Proekt said.

“It’s not a common problem, but it is a petrifying scenario to imagine — being paralyzed and awake for surgery,” he said.

Studies have suggested that a very small number of patients experience awaking during surgery, but it is also possible that a larger number of people have some awareness during surgery but don’t recall afterwards, Proekt said.

When starting on your journey you feel infinitesimal.  The world seems so huge as you open your eyes for the first time and rub the sleep from your feeble eyes.  Please know your timing is crucial.  You have chosen this moment, now, to be who you truly are and you are magnificently beautiful.

Your power, courage and strength is like the shining of light of 10,000 suns.  Do not confuse your fear for weakness, but realize it is your strength shaking away those parts of you that do not belong that have been manifesting as sadness, anger, bitterness and self-destructive behaviors.

When you begin to wring out the fabric of your life, draining the material of those parts of your being that no longer serve you, you will begin to feel uncertain and afraid.  The tendency is to cling to the past as each new moment presents itself for healing.  But that mode is outdated as you transmute the patterns of stuck energy and old habitual traits for new refreshing vibrations of just being.

This new replacement of the old you will be courteous of course allowing your mind and body to catch up.  As the new you moves along effortless, naturally with ease, the old pieces lodged in your body and mind with begin to crumble and sift away.  Don’t allow yourself to get caught up in the feelings, emotions, pain or panic.  Allow the bubbles to rise and pop freeing you from eons of torture and solitude.

When you cling tightly to these scraps that do not belong your being becomes weighted down and you will have the tendency to practice habits and old ways that are not always productive in order  to match the energetically bogged state of you being.  The sooner you realize that your fearful attachment to the rising tide is the culprit, the quicker you will drop it and sink like a ton of bricks into the sea of bliss.

There is sometimes a fear of getting into the water, but once you are fully submerged and acclimated you realize the water is just fine.  So fine that the only thing you long for is the state of being which elicits a feeling of pure bliss.  The only thing getting in the way is that part of you that fears submission to the powerful being of loving intention that you really and truly are.

What does it take to drop your baggage?  Must you run for miles, sit in strenuous mind manipulating meditation, or continue as you have with your vices and time?  Here is the divinity of the true answer to your search for happiness.  You mustn’t do anything.  Do nothing because no amount of doing will every bring you everlasting joy and peace.  In order to clear you being of the crud that has kept your reach for happiness just a fingertip’s distance away, you must simply be.

Being is the most natural state a human being can adopt.  It is in our true nature to just be, free of worries or stress.  Due to the fact that we must retrain our brains to adopt this natural, calm, blissful state; I will list some examples of how you can simply – BE.  Feel free to add your own examples in the comments of how you enjoy BEING.

  • watching a beautiful sunset
  • being aware of the gunk that your mind and body can produce (awareness shines a light on the ego posing as your true self)
  • breathing fully and deeply
  • practicing yoga, hiking, biking, swimming etc. with awareness of the motion and breath of your body
  • people watching and observing any judgments your mind might spew out.
  • observing beauty (especially finding beauty in the mundane)
  • dancing, laughing, playing
  • blessing everyone and everything even those and that which has been labeled ‘bad’ by your mind
  • remembering your oneness with all and the true part of you that is within everyone and everything simultaneously, continuously and effortlessly.

And remember whenever you maintain awareness of your mind and body do not judge nor condemn but give praise and love to that part of you that is stuck and in need of acceptance and love.  Remembering to do this is key because when you bathe yourself in light from the love of acceptance even of your worst habits both mentally and physically, you will automatically allow that part of you to heal and grow.  Like a child in the arms of God you will nurture and lovingly allow yourself to disarm and discard the old scraps of the old you.

Synopsis by Angela Ueckert

“How we form and experience…connections is determined by and reflects our brainwave patterns.
By becoming intentionally aware of our states of consciousness as we interact, learning to utilize our radar appropriately, and practicing conscious connection, we…enhance our relationships and improve rapport.  When we understand not only how our brainwaves are affected by others but also how we can affect other people’s brainwaves, we increase our empathy, our communication skills, and our satisfaction in relationships.”

“BETA BRAINWAVES…

When functioning at their best, beta waves are associated with logical thinking, concrete problem solving, and active external attention,…help us to consciously function in the world,…know how to master them so that we can use them effectively and not be at their mercy,…increased blood flow and metabolism, and is an active state with higher levels of cognitive processing, complex thinking, and decision making.”

ALPHA BRAINWAVES…

…present during daydreaming, fantasizing, and visualization….a relaxed, detached awareness and with a receptive mind. …provides the bridge between the conscious and subconscious mind.”  Without alpha, you will not remember your dreams when you awaken, even though you recall that they were strong, vivid, and meaningful,…not recall your meditation even though you know you went to a great depth and had many insights.  When alpha is missing, the link to the subconscious is broken.

THETA BRAINWAVES…

…overwhelming sense of spiritual awakening, an inexplicable burst of creative insight, a cavernous sense of pain, or a dawning awareness of the possibilities of what might be hidden within your mind,…forms a layer between the conscious and the unconscious.  Theta holds a profusion of memories, sensations, and emotions.  Though these experiences may be inaccessible to the conscious mind, they can nevertheless affect and even govern your attitudes, expectations, beliefs, and behaviors.  They are active during sleep and deep meditation, and they are particularly strong during so-called peak experiences, spiritual insight, and high-functioning brain states.

DELTA BRAINWAVES…

You know the telephone is going to ring before it rings.  You know what your friend/lover/spouse/child is feeling because you feel it too.  Sometimes you are even confused about whether the feeling you are experiencing belongs to you or to someone else,…you reach out with your mind…your own personal radar, sending and receiving messages on an unconscious level.  Delta brainwaves make up the unconscious mind,…still turned on when the rest of your brainwaves are turned off,…provides the restorative stages of sleep.

“The accurate content of the message for the Maya Prophecy for our times is that the date of December 21, 2012 is nothing more than a general marker, a specific date that infact indicates a whole era, an era of hope, an era of opportunity – the opportunity to re-establish a sense of community amongst all humans of this planet…” -From The Maya Taino Prophecy Initiative, led by Maya Elder Antonio Aj Ik and Taino Elder Miguel Sague – www.mayatainoprophecy.webs.com

December 21, 2012 marks the Shifting of World Ages, a return to zero point, where we officially transition from the current 5,125 year World Age Cycle, and enter into a New World Cycle; marking a new level of our unfoldment as a planetary collective; a new level of our human evolution in concert with our living Universe.

If one researches prophecies from ancient cultures, and investigates modern scientific and spiritual decodings of these times we are living in, one will find a whole spectrum of insight, opinions, warnings, facts, theories, and possibilities about where we have come from, and where we are heading. While many pieces of the puzzle match up, plenty of pieces and voices do not align, and in fact contradict one another.

I write this article as someone who has been in this field of investigation and discovery for 17 years and counting, having passionately delved into this realm and taken in information and insights from countless sources. In this personal journey, my intention has been to be informed of various viewpoints, especially those thought to be from the most reputable sources, including indigenous messengers, highly regarded researchers, deeply inspired visionaries, and critically thinking scientists. Upon taking in all of these viewpoints, I then seek to integrate them inside of myself, cross-referencing all the data and voices and applying the discernment of my own intelligence and intuition, that ultimately I can arrive at a synthesis of my own heart’s comprehension. It is from this place of what I would call my own “embodiment” that I always attempt to communicate to the world from.

I believe it is ideal for each of us to evolve and refine our own personal embodiment of truth, awareness, and inspiration to guide us from within and to help influence our collective humanity. Therefore, I do not proclaim to know anything more than anyone else. I am simply interested in sharing the understandings I have come to as they have cultivated within me during years of dedicated exploration, in hopes that they may stimulate deeper levels of your own knowing.

That said, the message I wish to offer to the human family is this:

Let us realize that December 21, 2012 does indeed mark the completion of a vast cycle, and the dawning of a New World Age on Planet Earth. However, let us not naively look to this one day to instantly transform all the far-reaching crises and imbalances we face as a global society.

The World Age we are soon transiting out of has spanned over 5000 years, taking us to this unprecedented point we are now living in on Planet Earth where our world hangs in the balance, teetering between breakdown and breakthrough. December 21, 2012 is a threshold point; a doorway indicated by the Ancient Maya well over a thousand years ago, that will take us into a new domain as a planetary collective. The more of us that are conscious and aware of the significance of this date as a marker of a new World cycle, the more aligned we can be in our intentions and actions to serve as instruments of this transition process, fortifying and inspiring each other upon this unfolding journey of Shifting World Ages.
